1/25/2015 4:48:47 PM EST – This is a Code Red message from the Town of Weston. The National Weather Service has issued a blizzard warning for our area starting tomorrow afternoon and running through late Tuesday night. Light snow is expected to start falling around 10:00 tomorrow morning with heavy snow and gusts of wind up to 60 mph occurring during the overnight hours and all day Tuesday. The current forecast shows accumulations of 18-24 inches with the possibility of up to 36 inches of snow. Residents should make preparations for this storm tonight and tomorrow including foods and medicine, home heating fuel, and any other provisions that may be necessary. Residents should plan to shelter in place for the duration of the storm due to the projected hazardous conditions. With the heavy snow and gusting winds, residents should expect the possibility of power outages. This is a preliminary advisory and the Town will provide updates throughout the storm as required. Residents will be advised if a warming shelter/comfort station is opened by the Town. We strongly urge that you stay off the roads during the storm due to the blowing snow that will cause white out conditions. This is a Code Red message from the Town of Weston.

  1. Pretty funny to look back at this and see how wildly inaccurate the forecast turned out to be – we didn’t even get 10″ of snow from this storm!
