Happy New Year! Did you make a resolution to become a healthier person? Do you like fitness classes, but don’t want to pay monthly membership fees to a “gym”? Are you looking for a sculpting and toning workout that focuses on core, balance, and strength? How about Zumba?
Weston Parks and Recreation is introducing low-cost Body Blast and Zumba classes beginning January, 2013, for both men and women. All classes will be in the Hurlbutt Elementary School All-Purpose Room in the South House. The entrance is through the Senior Center.
Zumba class will be on Monday & Wednesday nights, from 7-8pm. Body Blast is a strength training, core, and balance class offered on Thursday nights from 7-8pm and Tuesday mornings 7:45-8:45. These classes are for Men and Women. You can sign up for either 1 or more days online. Classes start the week of January 21st and registration is now open.
Both instructors are excellent and have been teaching exercise classes for a long time. All info can be found on the town of Weston website, www.westonct.gov, and go into Park and Rec program. You can browse all available programs for adults and children here.
Got an idea?
The Weston Parks and Rec Dept is looking to provide more programming for the adult community. If you have a skill or sport you would like to offer as a class OR if you have an idea for a class, please let Lynn Stevens know at 203.222.2588 or firstname.lastname@example.org. All ideas will be considered.
