Pat Rackliffe, the director of the WWCNS stated, “The date of the Tag Sale had been chosen long ago, however the timing of the event coinciding with this real catastrophe resulting from Hurricane Sandy. We the Co-op community felt it was important to donate all of the profits of the Tag Sale to the victims of storm.”

About WWCNS
Since 1955, the WWCNS has been helping children thrive through a child-centered approach that views the child as a whole individual. A primary teaching goal is for children to view themselves as capable life-long learners. We believe that a family’s willingness to participate in the functions of our school fosters an early example for our children of the cooperation that is an integral part of education.
Each child’s personal growth and development is impacted through an interdependent triangle between child, teacher and family. The teacher’s role is to provide an enriched, safe and stimulating environment in which children are free to play and select activities at their own pace. Teachers provide nurturing support to the individual needs of the children in their care. Each child’s creative, emotional, social and intellectual growth is recognized and encouraged. The school believes that helping a child develop a positive self-image is the best foundation for his or her future education.
