11/5/2012 5:48:08 PM EST – With a 56 line crews, 20 tress crews and 4 service crews in town, we were able to make significant progress today. Power was restored to approximately 3000 households to date. Crews will continue to work over night. We are hopeful that CL&P will reach their restoration estimate of 95% by tomorrow night.
There are still many trees and downed wires on the side of the roads. Please stay clear. The wires may be live.
Debris on your property is your responsibility. Please do not place it on the side of the road. Town crews will not remove it.
The comfort station will be open tomorrow from 6 am-8pm.
Elections will be held tomorrow at our usual polling place, the Weston Middle School from 6am-8pm.
Weston Public Schools will reopen on Wednesday.
All information will be posted on the town website, http://www.westonct.gov. We will also continue to update our automated storm line, (203) 454-1161.
