Weston Update – 11/1

11/1/2012 9:22:08 AM EST – The Governor has extended in person voter registration until Thursday at 8pm. You can register in person in town hall tomorrow from 9am – 8pm. Also the elections will go forward as planned. Voting will take place on Tuesday November 6th from 6am – 8pm in the Weston Middle School.

FEMA has announced that individual assistance for homeowners who suffered property damage is now available, to apply, call 800-621-3362.

We update a list of road closings by noon today. CL&P is still not issuing restoration estimates.

The Comfort Station will be open at Weston High School today through Friday 6am-10pm. Weekend hours will be 8am to 4 pm. Private showers, potable water, internet and charging stations are available. Please bring your own shower supplies and water containers. Food will be available at the HS cafeteria for a nominal fee of $2.00 for breakfast and $5.00 for lunch and dinner.
Town Hall will operate a regular schedule. The Library will be open today and Friday 9-5. The Senior Center will be open Thursday and Friday, from 9 am-3pm.

Weston public schools will remain closed all week. The decision to open next week will be made on Friday.

Movies will be shown at the Weston HS throughout the week. Please check the school or town website for movie schedule.
