5th Annual Old Fashioned Flea Market
On September 23, 2012, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. the park surrounding the Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum at 295 West Avenue, Norwalk, CT will be overflowing with a wide variety of new and used merchandise and family-friendly entertainment as the museum launches its fifth annual Old-fashionedFlea Market.
Vendors will run the gamut, selling from vintage to contemporary fashion, to rare and one-of-a-kind objects, to everyday practical household items An all-American barbecue offering hot dogs, hamburgers, pulled pork, and other summer favorites, will be available from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. A concert will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the South Lawn and feature the Bob Lasprogato Dixieland Band.
Admission to the Flea Market is free. Museum docents will be available inside the Mansion to give half price, $5 mini tours to those shoppers interested in visiting and supporting this National Historic Landmark. The museum’s Gift Shop will be open during the event and feature jewelry, gift baskets, Depression glass, and books pertaining to the Civil War, Victorian era art and architecture, local history, and more. All proceeds will benefit the Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum.
