Sixth Annual Classical Night Out

Souvenirs – An Evening of Sultry Classical Music
Saturday, November 19th, 7:30pm
Join us for a an evening of sultry music with the New York-based Geller-Anderson Duo. Experience the triumphant opening of Beethoven’s Sonata No.1 in D Major, Gershwin’s classic Porgy and Bess, Paul Schoenfield’s jazzy Four Souvenirs, and top off the evening with the delicate beauty of Nocturne by Lili Boulanger.

Violinist Sarah E. Geller has performed in venues such as Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall, where she made a solo recital debut as a winner of the Artists’ International Special Presentation Award. Taiwan native and pianist Wenhan Anderson has performed with the Casalmaggiore International Music Festival in Italy and is a founding member of the Music Works school in New Canaan, Connecticut.

SAME-DAY Workshop for Families with the Duo. Come listen to the Geller-Anderson Duo and discover how the music makes you feel. What colors and shapes do you see? What words come to your mind? Families can draw shapes, sketches and squiggles – a tangible souvenir of your experience! (4:30-5:30pm) at the Killingworth Congregational Church. $5 per family.
