The Hurlbutt Elementary School and Weston Intermediate School PTOs are sponsoring a “Meet the Candidates” morning on Thursday, Oct. 13, from 9 to 11 in the cafetorium at Weston Intermediate School.
The following candidates on the ballot in the municipal election to be held Nov. 8 have been invited to attend: Gayle Weinstein and Dan Gilbert, first selectman; Dennis Tracey and David Muller, Board of Selectmen; Phil Schaefer, Ellen Uzenoff, Dana Levin and Nina Daniel for Board of Education; Jerry Sargent, Steve Ezzes, Michael Carter, David Finkel, and Larry Skor for Board of Finance.
Each candidate will be given five uninterrupted minutes on the topic of his or her choice, followed by a question and answer period.
“It is an honor to welcome all our candidates to our monthly PTO meeting and our hope is that parents will be able to make informed choices when they vote on Nov. 8. There is no doubt that all candidates running are committed to our town and we are grateful for their service,” said Ruth Oshin, WIS PTO president, and Dana Lintell, Hurlbutt PTO president.
