Dear all soccer players, and friends,
We are writing to ask for your help with SOFA (Soccer For All), a non-profit organization started and run by the kids of Weston. Its purpose is to help our fellow soccer players in less-advantaged parts of the world, providing them with the equipment they need to play the game.
To get started, we need all your old, used or no-longer-needed soccer gear (shirts, shorts, cleats, balls, shin guards, goalie gloves, etc.). We will then sort them and ship the items on a needs-basis to schools we have identified through our contacts in Tanzania, Costa Rica, and Benin.
To help us please:
Drop off any old equipment at the Bill’s house (1 Briar Oak Road, Weston…the third street on the right on 57 as you are headed towards Westport from Weston Center, first house on the right). There will be a blue bin on the porch for collection.
Look for Andy and Laura Bill, or Shannon and Rob Nordlinger at any of the games or practices and give them your donations.
Spread the word to your friends and neighbors. At one of our soccer games we will bring a white soccer ball to the game and anyone who is a donor can sign it.
Get involved in our organization. We want everyone to play a part. If you would like to help with SOFA, please let us know by e-mailing to firstname.lastname@example.org
We are hoping to start sending shipments in the second week of October so we ask you to give us your equipment ASAP.
Toby and Jake Bill, Alex and Brian Nordlinger, and David and Zach Tamburri
