Civil Twilight – FREE CONCERT!

When: Fri, September 9, 8:00pm – 9:30pm
Where: Levitt Pavilion for the Performing Arts, 40 Jesup Road, Westport, CT 06880 (map)
Description: It’s confirmed! The highly anticipated concert (originally scheduled for August 27th and cancelled due to Irene) will now take place FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 9th at 8PM! See you here! *FREE* *OUTDOORS* *ALL AGES* “The future is indeed very bright for this extremely talented trio” – The Examiner “The trio delivers compelling, emotional music… one listen and you’ll agree that three is the perfect number” – Justine Magazine Ambitious lyrics and expansive soundscapes from a trio of South African transplants. Three lifelong friends – brothers Steven and Andrew McKellar and Richard Wouters – have been playing together since they were teens – and count musical influences from Oasis, U2 and Nirvana, to The Verve, The Police and Radiohead. Civil Twilight envelopes you in its multi-layered sound and vision – at once, lush, feverish and exotic and at the same time, vast, arid, and spacious. The band’s name is a reflection on that in-between time, not quite daylight, not quite darkness, but rather a shifting shade of grey. http://civiltwilightband.com/ Sponsor: First County Bank During the course of this weekend, September 9-11, we will be accepting voluntary donations for Westport Volunteer Emergency Medical Service as part of the “Tribute to First Responders & EMS” by DNR on Sept. 10. And remember, our Summer Season might be over but we have special events coming up September 23-25 at the Blues, Views, & BBQ Festival! Concert hotline: 203-221-2153
