Bus Rides and Visits for Incoming Kindergarteners – 2011

Source: Hurlbutt PTO Newsletter

All kindergarten students entering Hurlbutt in September 2011 are invited to take a short school bus ride and visit the school.

Children attending Community Nursery School, Emmanuel Nursery School, Norfield Nursery School, St. Francis of Assisi Nursery School, Temple Israel Early Childhood Center and Westport/Weston Cooperative Nursery School are already scheduled for visits during their regular school hours on either May 16th, 17th or 18th.

Children who do not attend one of the above pre-schools will also have an opportunity to visit Hurlbutt.  Students whose last name begins with the letters A-M, will visit on May 16th at 10:30AM.  Children and parents will meet in the Learning Resource Center at Hurlbutt.  At that time, your children will be checked-in so that they can have a short tour then board the bus for their bus ride.  The children will be chaperoned by Suzanne Arnone, School Counselor, while parents remain at Hurlbutt.  Students whose last names begin with the letters N-Z will visit on May 18th at 10:30AM, and meet in the South House Cafeteria to be checked-in for their visit.

Momma says: Don’t miss this opportunity for your child to visit the school and to see the classrooms. I remember my daughter’s face when she boarded the bus from her preschool – very excited! It is worthwhile to visit the school even if your child is not scheduled for a bus ride.
