Get up close and personal with trucks at Stamford Museum & Nature Center
Touch-A-Truck event is Nov. 7, 11 am – 3 pm
(Stamford, CT – October 20, 2010) Some of Fairfield County’s biggest and best big rigs will be at Stamford Museum & Nature Center on Sunday, Nov. 7, from 11 am to 3 pm, offering kids – and kids at heart – a chance to get up close and personal with some of these larger-than-life vehicles.
From earth movers and excavators to buses, ambulances, and fire trucks, a variety of vehicles will be parked for your chance to peek inside! Even hybrid vehicles, like at CT Transit bus, will be on-hand for this event.
A food tent will be serving up refreshments for purchase. This event is rain or shine and is free with regular gate admission.
Don’t forget to stop by the otter pond and Heckscher Farm and say hi to Edie the otter and her friends!
Stamford Museum & Nature Center is located at 39 Scofieldtown Road, Stamford, CT (3/4 mile North of Merritt Parkway Exit 35.) For more information call 203.322.1646 or visit www.stamfordmuseum.org.
