Last year, there were two coinciding Halloween events in Weston – one at the Weston Historical Society (104 Weston Road) and the other on the Town Green (hosted by the Girls Scouts of CT). We went to both, and had a great time at both. This year, there will be one event – the Scare Fair, a partnership approach. The Weston Forum provides details:
Weston Girl Scouts will present this year’s annual Halloween Scare Fair on Saturday, Oct. 23, at the Weston Historical Society Coley Homestead grounds, located at 104 Weston Road. The event will run from noon until 4 pm.
Admission is free, but tickets (50 cents each) are required for the activities. Costumes are encouraged to be worn by adults and children alike. There will be games and food (members of the Kiwanis Club will be barbequeing on site). If you’re concerned about the name of the event and its appropriateness for younger children – don’t worry. There is promise of the moon bounce, pony rides, crafts, face-painting, prizes, and other family-friendly games.
